YOU ARE NOTIFIED that a Petition for Adoption by Stepparent has been filed against you and that you are required to serve a copy of your written defenses, if any, to it on Petitioner, c/o Autumn N. Hancock, Esq., whose address is 4437 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL 33713, and file the original with the Clerk of this Court at 545 1st Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. If you fail to do so, a default may be entered against you for the relief demanded in the petition.

There will be a hearing on the Petition for Adoption by Stepparent before a Circuit Court Judge October 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the parties can be heard at the Pinellas County Judicial Building 545 1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg, Florida 33701. If you have not executed a consent to adoption and a waiver of venue, you have the right to request that the hearing on the petition to terminate parental rights be transferred to the county in which you reside. You may object by appearing at the hearing or filing a written objection with the Court.
UNDER SECTION 63.089, FLORIDA STATUTES FAILURE TO FILE A WRITTEN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE WITH THE COURT OR TO APPEAR AT THIS HEARING CONSTITUTES GROUNDS UPON WHICH THE COURT SHALL END ANY PARENTAL RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE REGARDING THE MINOR CHILD.
Copies of all court documents in this case, including orders, are available at the Clerk of the Circuit Court’s office. You may review these documents upon request.
You must keep the Clerk of the Circuit Court’s office notified of your current address. (You may file Designation of Current Mailing and E-Mail Address, Florida Supreme Court Approved Family Law Form 12.915.) Future papers in this lawsuit will be mailed or e-mailed to the addresses on record at the clerk’s office.
