SECTION 00100 - INVITATION TO BID CITY OF DUNEDIN PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA 34698 BID NO. 11-945
Sealed bids for the Weaver Park Restroom and Picnic Shelters project, will be received until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

This project consists of the following Base Bid work and/or Bid Alternate work. Any or all of the Bid Alternates may not be awarded at the time of award.

There are four areas of work for this project.
1. The first area of work comprises civil/site work as indicated on drawings 1 thru 8 of the set titled City of Dunedin Weaver Park Rest room and Picnic Shelters. This area of work provides for removal of existing sections of shell path, for construction of three new water
services, for construction of a new grinder pump station and force main, for construction of a new sewer service lateral, for construction of a new storm ditch bottom inlet and connecting pipe, and for all other work required for a complete and operable facility.
2. The second area of work comprises the construction of a new elec- trical service and 200 amp panel to serve the proposed restroom and picnic shelters as indicated on drawings E1 and E2 of the set titled Electrical Site Plan.
3. The third area of work comprises the construction of one new rest room as indicated on the 17 drawings titled New Restrooms for Weaver Park.
4. The fourth area of work comprises the construction of two new pic- nic shelters as indicated on the 8 drawings title Picnic Shelter

Discrimination: An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid on a contract to provide goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not award or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity.
The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Manager, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.
All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:

“SEALED BID FOR BID NO. 11-945
WEAVER PARK RESTROOM AND PICNIC SHELTERS
2:00 P.M., TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2011
DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept such bids as are to be in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
