SECTION 00100 - INVITATION TO BID CITY OF DUNEDIN, PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA 34698 BID NO. 12-957
Sealed bids for the Heather Drive & South Lotus Drive Drainage Improvements project, will be received until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.
This project consists of the following Base Bid work and/or Bid Alternate work. Any or all of the Bid Alternates may not be awarded at the time of award.
There are two areas of work for this project.
1. The first area is Heather Drive, south of San Christopher Drive. Project work includes removal of existing 30” RCP and 15” RCP and replacement with 34”x53” ERCP and with 14”x23” ERCP, construc- tion of new headwalls and other utility and road restoration as indi- cated on Sheet 3 of 5 in the project drawings.
2. The second area is South Lotus Drive, north of SR 580. Project work includes removal of existing 24” RCP and replacement with 34”x53” ERCP, construction of new headwalls, and other utility and road restoration work as indicated on Sheet 4 of 5 of the project
drawings.
Discrimination: An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid on a contract to provide goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not award or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity.
The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.
All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:

Copies of plans and specifications can be obtained by going to DemandStar at www.demandstar.com. Hard copies of the bid documents are available at a cost to the Contractor. The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept such bids as are to be in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
