NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to the Florida Statutes, notice is hereby given that the City of Winter Garden City Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Commission Chambers located at 300 W. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida on May 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible to consider a recommendation on the adoption of the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE 11-11
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER GARDEN, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 118 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WINTER GARDEN CONCERNING THE LOCATION OF PAWN SHOPS, FIREARM SALES, FIREARM ASSEMBLY AND MANUFACTURING, AND GUN RANGES; AMENDING ARTICLE I, SECTION 118-1 DEFINITIONS; AMENDING ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 8, SECTION 118-535 PROHIBITED USES AND STRUCTURES FOR C-1 ZONING DISTRICT; AMENDING ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 9, SECTIONS 118-579 AND 118-580 SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS AND PROHIBITED USES AND STRUCTURES FOR C-2 ZONING DISTRICT; AMENDING ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 11, SECTION 118-680 PROHIBITED USES AND STRUCTURES FOR C-4 ZONING DISTRICT; AMENDING ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 12, SECTIONS 118-727 AND 118-729 PERMITTED USES AND SPECIAL EXCEPTION USES FOR I-1 ZONING DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR CONTROL IN EVENT OF CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A copy of the proposed ordinance, which includes the parcel identification number of the affected properties may be inspected by the public between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday of each week, except for legal holidays, at 300 West Plant Street. Interested parties may appear and be heard regarding the same. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available in the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for legal holidays. Persons wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission at such hearing will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
