NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City of Winter Garden Planning and Zoning Board will, on September 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon after as possible, hold a public hearing in the City Commission Chambers located at 300 West Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida in order to consider a variance request to section 118-1310(b) of the City of Winter Garden Code of Ordinances relating to accessory building and accessory structure placement and setback regulations for property located at 328 S Boyd Street in Winter Garden, Florida. The request is for an 8 foot side yard setback in lieu of 15 feet for an accessory structure (gazebo); a 3 foot side yard setback in lieu of 15 feet for an accessory structure (awning); and allowance for placement of 2 additional accessory structures (gazebo & awning) on the property for a total of 4 accessory structures on one lot (existing detached garage and storage shed). If approved, this variance will allow construction of a 10ft x 10ft gazebo setback 8 feet from the south side property line, and a 20ft long awning setback 3 feet from the south side property line in addition to 2 existing accessory structures.
Copies of the proposed request may be inspected by the public between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday of each week, except for legal holidays, at the Planning & Zoning Division in City Hall, 300 West Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. Any and all support or objections will be heard at this time. If no valid objections are presented to the contrary, consideration will be given for granting this request. Persons wishing to appeal any decision made by the Planning and Zoning Board at such hearing will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. The City does not provide this verbatim record.
