NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City of Winter Garden Planning and Zoning Board will, on September 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon after as possible, hold a public hearing in the City Commission Chambers located at 300 West Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida in order to consider a variance request to section 118-1297(a)(2) and section 118-1297(a)(3) of the City of Winter Garden Code of Ordinances relating to fence and wall height restrictions for property commonly known as Windtree Gardens Condominiums located at 42 Windtree Lane in Winter Garden, Florida. The request is to replace existing 6 foot tall sections of perimeter fencing with 8 foot tall wall sections along approximately 650 feet of the east side property line adjacent to 5th Street and along a 30 foot portion of the south property line beginning on the west side of the intersection of 5th Street and South Street, in lieu of replacing the perimeter fencing with a perimeter wall of the same height as the existing. If approved, this variance will allow construction of 680 feet of 8 foot tall wall sections along the east and south property lines.
Copies of the proposed request may be inspected by the public between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday of each week, except for legal holidays, at the Planning & Zoning Division in City Hall, 300 West Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida. Any and all support or objections will be heard at this time. If no valid objections are presented to the contrary, consideration will be given for granting this request. Persons wishing to appeal any decision made by the Planning and Zoning Board at such hearing will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. The City does not provide this verbatim record.
