PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that the Board of County Commissioners beginning at 9:30 a.m., August 7, 2012, at its regular meeting in the Board Assembly Room, Fifth Floor, Pinellas County Courthouse, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, Florida 33756, will hold a public hearing for the purpose of hearing objections, if any, to the petitioners' request to create the Rexdale Heights II Subdivision Street Lighting District with the cost to be funded by a special annual assessment levied on each and every property unit within the Districts described below:
Rexdale Heights II Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 82, Page 9, public records of Pinellas County, Florida.
All of the above being located in Section 21, Township 30 South, Range 15 East, Pinellas County, Florida.
The title page of the proposed ordinance will read as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF PINELLAS, PROVIDING FOR CREATION OF REXDALE HEIGHTS II SUBDIVISION STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR DESCRIPTION OF REXDALE HEIGHTS II SUBDIVISION STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR OTHER MODIFICATIONS THAT MAY ARISE FROM REVIEW OF THE ORDINANCE AT THE PUBLIC HEARINGS AND WITH RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITIES; AND PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE PINELLAS COUNTY CODE.
The cost estimate provided by Progress Energy is $55.50 for a monthly rental charge. Pinellas County administrative charges are estimated to be $99.90. For the first 12 (twelve) months, the Rexdale Heights II Subdivision Street Lighting District is estimated to cost $765.90 and the cost to each property unit would be $45.05. In the subsequent years, the annual recurring cost to each property owner is estimated to be $45.05. The General Fund will be reimbursed from annual assessments on each property within the Rexdale Heights II Subdivision Street Lighting District.
Interested parties may appear at the hearing and be heard regarding the proposed Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance can be inspected by the public at Pinellas County Traffic Engineering Department, 22211 U.S. Highway 19, Bldg #1, Clearwater, Florida 33765. Any comments may be directed to, the Board Records Department located on the Fifth Floor of the Pinellas County Courthouse, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, Florida 33756.
Persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at the meeting/hearing, they will need a record of the proceedings, and, for such purposes, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
