AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE TOWN OF OAKLAND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP AND BY ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF REMINGTON ROAD SOUTH OF SR 50 CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 4.41 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, TOGETHER WITH ALL IMPROVEMENTS THEREON: PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The Town of Oakland Planning and Zoning Board (also sitting as the Local Planning Agency for the Town of Oakland) will hold a public hearing on the proposed Future Land Use Map (FLUM) amendment at 6:30 p.m. on June 19, 2012. The Town Commission of Oakland, Florida will hold two public hearings on this proposal at 7:00 p.m. on July 10, 2012 and July 24, 2012.All meetings will be held in the Oakland Meeting Hall located at 221 Arrington St.. Oakland, Florida.
The public is invited to attend and speak on this matter at all of these meetings, property owners in the area have been sent due public notice of the pending application for a Future Land Use Map change from Rural in Orange County to Low Density Residential in the Town of Oakland.
