Sealed bids for the 2012 Production Well Maintenance project will be received until 2:00 p.m., April 3, 2012 at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.
This project consists of the following Base Bid work and/or Bid Alternate work. Any or all of the Bid Alternates may not be awarded at the time of award.
Perform maintenance and rehabilitation work at seven potable water production wells throughout the City and drill one new potable water production well. The rehabilitation work generally consists of performing borehole geophysical logging and video survey; back-plugging well with cement grout; and acidizing well. Maintenance work includes abandonment of existing monitor well, furnishing and installing sample pump into existing well; and furnishing and installing new discharge piping, submersible pump with motor, and chain link fencing at an existing well site. Work to drill new production well includes furnishing and installing approximately 80 feet of steel surface casing and PVC well casing; drilling open borehole to a depth of approximately 250 feet into the upper floridan aquifer; well development; and geophysical logging and video survey.

The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.
All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:

2:00 P.M., APRIL 3, 2012
DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept such bids as are judged to be in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
