Request for Qualifications Architectural Services
Ruth Eckerd Hall intends to obtain Professional Design services for the renovation and expansion of the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, FL. Complete architectural, engineering and design services to be provided include site planning, schematic design, design development, interior design services, including assistance with FFE selection and coordination, construction documents, assistance with procurement/subcontractor evaluation, construction administration services, assistance with securing grants and fund-raising, and site permitting.

The Capitol Theatre renovation project consists of the total renovations of this movie house originally constructed in 1921. The renovation will replicate the original look of the building. The project will consist of complete interior and exterior new finishes, new mechanical and electrical and plumbing systems. The scope will include the complete renovation and tie-in of a two story building (The Lokey Bldg.) to the west of the movie house. In addition to the movie house and stage, the scope of work includes new public restrooms, new expanded lobby and concession area, a donor lounge, box office, new dressing rooms, new elevators, new offices and a rooftop terrace above the Lokey Building structure.

Applicants for the project must submit the information required by the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) packet which can be obtained via email request to [email protected]. Return the completed RFQ to Jeff Hartzog, Director of Operations, Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, FL 33759 by June 8, 2012, no later than 2:00. Ruth Eckerd Hall will not be responsible for any delays in delivery.
