Sealed bids for the Promenade Landscaping and Sidewalk Replacement on Main Street from Broadway to Victoria Drive project, will be received until 2:00 p.m., October 23, 2012 at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

This project consists of the following Base Bid work and/or Bid Alternate work. Any or all of the Bid Alternates may not be awarded at the time of award.

The existing sidewalk will be removed on the north side of Main Street from Victoria Drive wrapping around to the first driveway on Broadway. Existing concrete pavers are to be saved and reused. An 8-foot wide concrete paver sidewalk with tree grates will be constructed within the existing right-of-way. The new sidewalk will include concrete curb ramps at each end with detectable warning surfaces. Concrete driveways will be removed and replaced to meet ADA and FDOT requirements. Irrigation and landscaping will be placed on either side of the sidewalk including the northwest corner of Main Street and Broadway. A portion of the irrigation, landscaping and a 172-foot sitting wall will be constructed within easements of adjoining properties.

Landscaping, tree grates and irrigation will be placed on the south side of Main Street Edgewater Drive to Broadway. This includes a directional bore under Main Street for the irrigation. Miscellaneous concrete paver sidewalk removal and construction will be required. Traffic signs and one pedestrian signal will be relocated. The back of signs and the sign posts are to be painted black. Maintenance of Traffic is required. FDOT standards are to be followed as well as day of week and allowable hours by the FDOT.

The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Manager, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.

All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:
