CITY OF DUNEDIN DUNEDIN, FLORIDA INVITATION TO BID #13-997
Sealed bids for the “Dunedin Public Library Quiet Room” project will be received until the time and date noted below at the Purchasing Office, in the City of Dunedin Municipal Services Building, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

The purpose of the project is to contract with a properly licensed contractor qualified to furnish and install all equipment, labor and materials necessary to complete the work. The work will be performed at the Dunedin Public Library located at 223 Douglas Ave. Dunedin, FL 34698. The awarded Contractor will furnish and install a glass panel wall system “quiet room” within existing space at the Library. The Contractor will be the manufacturer and installer of the system. No subcontracting of the work will be permitted. This work is specifically for the glass panel system and other work detailed in the drawings are to be performed by others.

PRE-BID MEETING: A VOLUNTARY pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9:00 am Thursday, April 11, 2013. The meeting will be held at the Dunedin Public Library.

Envelopes containing bids must be securely sealed and clearly marked:

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond drawn in favor of the City of Dunedin in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Bid specifications are available at the office the Purchasing Agent (Phone: 727-298-3077) at the address noted above. You may also email your request to: [email protected] or download the specifications from www.demandstar.com. There is no cost for the specifications. Bids should be prepared in the same format as listed in the specifications and remain firm for a period of 90 days. The City reserves the right to accept those bids which are in the best interest of the City; to waive informalities; or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with these instructions and specifications may be disqualified.
