INVITATION TO BID CITY OF DUNEDIN PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA 34698 BID NO. 13-999
Sealed bids for the South Douglas Avenue Streetscape Union Street to Lexington Street project, will be received until 2:00 p.m., June 18, 2013 at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

This project consists of the following work:

The South Douglas Avenue Streetscape - Union Street to Lexington Street Project includes construction of 6-foot wide concrete paver sidewalks, handicap curb ramps, and texturized pavement crosswalks. The majority of the project is located between Lexington Street and Union Street. In addition, the existing midblock crosswalk between the Hale Center and the Stadium is included for texturized pavement treatment. Other texturized pavement crosswalks will be located at Orangewood Street and one crosswalk on the north side of Union Street.

Discrimination: An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid on a contract to provide goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not award or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity.

The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.

All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:

“SEALED BID FOR BID NO. 13-999
SOUTH DOUGLAS AVENUE STREETSCAPE
UNION STREET TO LEXINGTON STREET
2:00 P.M., JUNE 18, 2013
DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept those bids which are in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
