SCHOOL BOARD OF PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RULE ADOPTION
RULE AFFECTED: Policy 2250
TITLE: FUNDAMENTAL SCHOOLS, MAGNET PROGRAMS, AND CAREER ACADEMIES

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with subsection 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., changes have been made to the proposed rule, consisting of: continuation of feeder pattern from Douglas Jamerson Elementary School to Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School for current fifth graders to attend in the 2014-15 school year; designation of grade levels, application areas and proximity priority preferences for new middle school application programs; addition of the Cambridge Pre-AICE curriculum to the new Tarpon Springs Middle School application program; and restoration of language that was inadvertently left out at first reading.

Such amendments are reflected in the Procedures for District Application Programs dated September 24, 2013, which is incorporated in Policy 2250 by reference. Notice of Rule Development was published in The Business Observer on August 2, 2013, Notice of Public Hearing/Intended Agency Action was published in the same publication on August 9, 2013, and Amended Notice of Public Hearing/Intended Agency Action was published in the same publication on September 6, 2013.

The changes are supported by the record of public hearings held on the rule, and/or are in response to written material submitted to the agency within 21 days after the date of publication of the notice of intended agency action or submitted to the agency between the date of publication of the notice and the end of the final public hearing.
