NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 2014-01
The Town of Windermere, Florida, proposes to adopt Ordinance 2014-01. The Town Council of Windermere, Florida, will hold a public hearing at the Town Hall located at 520 Main Street, Windermere, Florida, on Tuesday, APRIL 22, 2014, at 6:00 P.M. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be considered) to consider passage of the proposed Ordinance 2014-01, the title of which reads as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 2014-01
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF WINDERMERE, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS IN ARTICLE VIII OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE ENTITLED “SIGNS”; REVISING SECTION 8.00.04 TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF “WINDOW SIGN” AND TO REMOVE THE DEFINITION OF “SIDEWALK SIGN”; REVISING SECTIONS 8.01.00 AND 8.06.01 TO REMOVE “SIDEWALK SIGNS” FROM THE LIST OF EXEMPT SIGNS AND TO REMOVE REFERENCES TO THE TERM “SIDEWALK SIGNS”; REVISING SECTION 8.06.06 TO PROVIDE THAT SIGN PERMITS SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW BOARD; REVISING SECTIONS 8.02.01, 8.03.03, AND 8.06.06 TO CLARIFY THAT THE PROCESS FOR SIGN CODE VIOLATIONS ON PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY; REVISING SECTION 8.06.06 TO PROVIDE THAT NONCONFORMING SIGNS MUST BE BROUGHT INTO CONFORMANCE BY A DATE CERTAIN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.
This proposed ordinance is available at the Town Clerk's Office, 614 Main Street, Windermere, Florida, for inspection during normal business hours of Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in this proceeding should contact the Town Clerk 48 hours before the meeting.
Persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at this meeting, they will need a record of the proceeding, and for such purposes, they may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based, per Section 286.0105 F.S.
