FIRST INSERTION
PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
AND PUBLIC TEST OF VOTE TABULATING EQUIPMENT
The Orange County Canvassing Board will convene at the office of the Supervisor of Elections, 119 W. Kaley Street, Orlando, Florida, at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014. The Board is convening for the testing of the voting equipment and ballot tabulating equipment to be used for the March 11, 2014, Special Primary Election for House District 44, and the Winter Garden Municipal Election. Immediately afterwards, the Board will meet in an orientation session to review meeting dates and determine procedures to be used in the canvassing of ballots for the Special Primary Election and Winter Garden Municipal Election March 11, 2014, the Special General Election April 8, 2014, the Primary Election August 26, 2014, and the General Election November 4, 2014. The Board may also discuss other matters relating to the aforementioned elections.
In accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, this meeting will be open to the public.
NOTE: Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any decision by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if any person with a disability, as defined by the ADA, needs special accommodation to participate in this proceeding, then not later than two business days prior to the proceeding, he or she should contact the Supervisor of Elections Office at 407-836-2070.

NOTIFICACIÓN DE REUNIÓN PÚBLICA
Y PRUEBA PÚBLICA DEL EQUIPO PARA TABULAR VOTOS
La Junta de Escrutinio del Condado de Orange se reunirá en la oficina del Supervisor de Elecciones, 119 W. Kaley Street, Orlando, Florida a las 3 p.m. el jueves, 27 de febrero del 2014. La Junta se reunirá para examinar el equipo de votación y tabulación de las papeletas de voto que se utilizará para la Elección Municipal de Winter Garden y la Elección Primaria Especial de la Cámara de Representantes del Distrito 44 del 11 de marzo del 2014. Inmediatamente despues, la Junta tendrá una sesión de orientación para revisar fechas de reuniones futuras y determinar procedimientos a utilizarse en el escrutinio de las papeletas para la Elección Primara Especial y la Elección Municipal de Winter Garden del 11 de marzo del 2014, para la Elección General Especial del 8 de abril del 2014, la Elección Primaria del 26 de agosto del 2014 y la Elección General del 4 de noviembre del 2014. La Junta puede que discuta otros temas relacionados a las Elecciones aquà mencionadas.
De acuerdo con la Ley “Sunshine” de la Florida, esta reunión estará abierta al público.
NOTA: La Sección 286.0105 de los Estatutos de Florida, indica que si una persona decide apelar cualquier decisión de una junta, agencia o comisión con respecto a cualquier asunto considerado en una reunión o vista, dicha persona necesitará un acta de las deliberaciones, y para tal propósito necesita asegurarse de que se haga una transcripción literal de los procedimientos, los cuales recogen los testimonios y la evidencia sobre la cual se basó la apelación.
De acuerdo con el Acta de Americanos con Discapacidades, (ADA por sus siglas en ingles), cualquier persona con discapacidad, como definido por el ADA, que requiera asistencia especial para participar en este procedimiento, debe contactar a la Oficina del Supervisor de Elecciones al 407-836-2070 no más tardar de dos dÃas hábiles antes del procedimiento.
