NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT
The Town of Oakland Commission will review a proposal to change the Future Land Use of approximately +/-85.90 acres of land generally located to the north and west of the intersection of SR 50 and Deer Island Road, directly east of the Lake County border, and to the south of SR 91 (Florida's Turnpike), aka 17601 SR 438 (30-22-27-0000-00-001), 17805 SR 438 (30-22-27-0000-00-002), and two additional parcels which are Vacant with no address (30-22-27-0000-00-053, and 30-22-27-0000-00-059) as follows:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA; CHANGING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR A PARCEL APPROXIMATELY 85.90+ ACRES IN SIZE, LOCATED IN SECTION 19 AND 30 TOWNSHIP 22S, RANGE 27E, FROM A DESIGNATION OF ORANGE COUNTY “RURAL” TO A DESIGNATION OF “LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL”; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR THE FORWARDING OF THIS ORDINANCE TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A public hearing will be heard on the request by the Town Commission at the following time and place:

All hearings are open to the public. Any interested party is invited to offer comments about this request at the public hearing or in writing to the Town of Oakland, PO Box 98, Oakland FL 34760, or by e-mail to [email protected]. A copy of the request can be inspected at the Town Hall. Any party appealing a land use decision made at a public hearing must ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the evidence and testimony that is the basis of the appeal.
The time and/or location of public hearings are subject to change. Changes are announced at the initial scheduled hearing. Notice of any changes will not be published or mailed.
