The School Board of Pinellas County, Florida will receive sealed bids in the Purchasing Department, at the School Administration Building, 301 Fourth Street SW, Largo, Florida, 33770-3536 until 3 p.m. E.T., on April 9, 2014 for the purpose of selecting a supplier/contractor for Beverage & Snack Vending Services.

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Beverage and Snack Vending Services to the Pinellas County School Board's (the District) 18 high school facilities county wide and 3 adult facilities. The district requests proposals from experienced and qualified Beverage and Snack Vending Distributors to provide and deliver Individual Serving Size Carbonated and Non-Carbonated Cold Beverages and Snacks via Vending Machine Delivery Systems. The Beverage and Snack Vending Distributor will be responsible for but not limited to;
a) Offering a fixed percentage on gross sales to be returned to the district
b) Supplying only products that meet the guidelines of the governing agencies and the district wellness policy that are also approved by the food service
department
c) Providing beverage and snack vending machines at each of the locations in the number already in use
d) Placing machines as directed by the Administration of each of the locations
e) Stocking the vending machines with product daily to the 18 high school facilities and every other day to the adult facilities throughout Pinellas County
f) Maintaining the vending machines in good working order
Distributors must commit to maintaining and enforcing the highest level of service quality and standards by supplying the brands and product codes as approved by the district for the entire term of this contract and any subsequent renewal periods.
This contract will secure firm, percentage on sales return for the contract period as specified herein. (See accompanying Delivery Site listing included in this document) This contract excludes the beverage and snack vending machines on school campuses for the exclusive use of the school staff in the faculty lounges unless otherwise requested and added to contract.
Public opening of the bids will occur in the Room A318 at the above address and all interested parties are invited to be present.

Insurance is required for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids.
