PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE OF THE ORANGE COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD
TO CERTIFY THE MARCH 11, 2014 SPECIAL PRIMARY AND WINTER GARDEN
MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS
The Orange County Canvassing Board will meet at noon on Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Supervisor of Elections office, 119 W. Kaley St., Orlando, Florida, to canvass absentee ballots from military and civilians overseas pursuant to Rule 1S-2.013, F.A.C., and to certify the results of the Special Primary and Winter Garden Municipal Election held on March 11, 2014. The Canvassing Board will immediately thereafter select the contest and the precincts to be audited in accordance with Chapter 101.591, Florida Statutes and Rule 1S-5.026, F.A.C. Any ballots cast during the Early Voting period, in precincts selected by the Canvassing Board for audit, will be segregated from the other early voting ballots cast. The process of separating these early voting ballots will be open to the public for viewing and will commence immediately after the Canvassing Board selects the precincts and ending at 5:00 p.m. The manual audit will be conducted Wednesday, March 26, 2014, commencing at 10:00 a.m.
In accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, this meeting is open to the public.
Note: Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any decision by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if any person with a disability, as defined by the ADA, needs special accommodation to participate in this proceeding, then not later than two business days prior to the proceeding, he or she should contact the Supervisor of Elections Office at 407-836-2070.

REUNIÓN PÚBLICA DE LA JUNTA DE ESCRUTINIO DEL CONDADO ORANGE PARA CERTIFICAR LOS RESULTADOS DE LA ELECCIÓN PRIMARIA ESPECIAL Y ELECCIÓN MUNICIPAL DE WINTER GARDEN DEL 11 DE MARZO DE 2014.
La Junta de Escrutinio del Condado de Orange se reunirá en la oficina del Supervisor de Elecciones, 119 W. Kaley Street, Orlando, Florida, al mediodía el viernes, 21 de Marzo del 2014, para sondear votos de papeleta ausente de electores militares y civiles en el extranjero de acuerdo a la Regla 1S-2.013, F.A.C., y para certificar los resultados de la Elección Primaria Especial y Elección Municipal de Winter Garden del 11 de Marzo del 2014. La Junta de Escrutinio seleccionará inmediatamente despues la contienda y los precintos para la auditoría de acuerdo al Capítulo 101.591, Estatutos de la Florida y Regla 1S-5.026, F.A.C. Cualquier papeleta de voto emitida durante el periodo de la Votación Temprana, en los precintos seleccionados por la Junta de Escrutinio para auditar, serán segregados de las demás papeletas de los votos que fueron emitidos por votación temprana. El proceso de separación de estas papeletas de votación temprana estarán disponibles para vista del público y comenzará inmediatamente despues que la Junta de Escrutinio seleccione los precintos y terminará a las 5:00 p.m. La auditoría manual se conducirá el miercoles, 26 de Marzo del 2014 comenzando a las 10:00 a.m.
De acuerdo con la Ley del Sol de la Florida, esta reunión está abierta al público.
Nota: La Sección 286.0105, de los Estatutos de Florida, indica que si una persona decide apelar cualquier decisión tomada por una junta, agencia o comisión con respecto a cualquier asunto considerado en una reunión o vista, necesitará tener un registro de los procedimientos, y para tal propósito, necesitará asegurarse que haga un registro verbal exacto de los procedimientos, el cual debe incluir el testimonio y la evidencia sobre la cual está basada la apelación.
De acuerdo con el Acto de Americanos con Impedimentos, (ADA), si cualquier persona con una incapacidad, como definido por el ADA, requiere asistencia especial para participar en este procedimiento, entonces a no más tardar de dos días de negocio antes del procedimiento, el o ella debe hacer contacto con la Oficina del Supervisor de Elecciones al 407-836-2070.
