NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 2014-16
The Town of Windermere, Florida, proposes to adopt Ordinance 2014-16. The Town Council of Windermere, Florida, will hold a public hearing at the Town Hall located at 520 Main Street, Windermere, Florida, on Tuesday, DECEMBER 9, 2014, at 6:00 P.M. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be considered) to consider passage of the proposed Ordinance 2014-16, the title of which reads as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 2014-16
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF WINDERMERE, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA PERTAINING TO TREES; REPEALING AND REPLACING DIVISION 5.01.00 OF THE TOWN'S LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE ENTITLED “TREES” IN ITS ENTIRETY; ESTABLISHING NEW RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE PROTECTION OF TREES WITHIN THE TOWN OF WINDERMERE; PROVIDING DEFINITIONS; REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR TREE REMOVAL; SETTING FORTH THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND THE CRITERIA FOR ISSUING A TREE REMOVAL PERMIT; REQUIRING TREE RELOCATION, REPLACEMENT OR THE PAYMENT OF MITIGATION FEES; CREATING A TREE REPLACEMENT TRUST FUND; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PERMIT REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING AN APPEAL PROCESS; SETTING FORTH DEVELOPMENT SITE STANDARDS FOR TREE PROTECTION; PROVIDING AN OFFICIAL TREE AND PALM SPECIES LIST; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.
This proposed ordinance is available at the Town Clerk's Office, 614 Main Street, Windermere, Florida, for inspection during normal business hours of Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in this proceeding should contact the Town Clerk 48 hours before the meeting.
Persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at this meeting, they will need a record of the proceeding, and for such purposes, they may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based, per Section 286.0105 F.S.
