NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The following ordinance(s) will be heard at a regularly scheduled public meeting of the Town of Oakland's Town Commission on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon after as possible, in Historic Town Hall, 220 North Tubb Street. Interested Parties may appear and be heard.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, “ADMINISTRATION”, ARTICLE IV, “BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS”, DIVISION 2, “CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD”; EXEMPTING THE TOWN FROM THE PROVISIONS OF F.S. 162; REPEALING PROVISIONS RELATING TO CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD AND REPLACING THEM WITH PROVISIONS RELATING TO A SPECIAL MAGISTRATE; PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION OF FINES THROUGH NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
All hearings are open to the public. Any interested party is invited to offer comments about this request at the public hearing or in writing to the Town of Oakland, PO Box 98, Oakland FL 34760, or by e-mail to [email protected]. A copy of the proposed ordinances can be inspected at the Town of Oakland Town Hall during regular business hours at 230 N. Tubb Street, Oakland. Florida. Any party appealing a land use decision made at a public hearing must ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the evidence and testimony that is the basis of the appeal.
The time and/or location of public hearings are subject to change. Changes are announced at the initial scheduled hearing. Notice of any changes will not be published or mailed.
