SECTION 00100 - INVITATION TO BID CITY OF DUNEDIN PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA 34698 BID NO. 16-1057 CR 1 VALVE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
Sealed bids for the CR 1 Valve Replacement Project will be received until the time and date noted below at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.
This project consists of the following Base Bid work and/or Bid Alternate work. Any or all of the Bid Alternates may not be awarded at the time of award.
This project is to replace existing water main valves and existing sanitary sewer manhole, installation of a new water mains, fire hydrant assembly, and other buried water main improvments. Work is located at the following five locations:
1. CR 1at San Christopher
2. Falcon Drive / Amerlea Drive North and CR 1
3. CR 1 north of Falcon Drive at Old Wll No. 10
4. CR 1 at Solon Avenue
5. Heather Ridge Boulevard north of SR 580 (Main Street)
The water main installation is via open cut trenches. There is work in the FDOT and Pinellas County rights-of-way. Surface restoration consists of roadway and driveway pavement, concrete sidewalks and curb, and sodding.
Discrimination: An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid on a contract to provide goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not award or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity.
The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.
A pre-bid meeting

Conference Room, 737 Louden Avenue, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL.

All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:

CR 1 VALVE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
2:00 P.M., TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2016
DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept those bids which are in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
