NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
The Town of Oakland Town Commission proposes to hear and make recommendations on the following ordinance:
2015-04
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND FLORIDA CHANGING THE ELECTION DATE FOR THE 2016 TOWN GENERAL ELECTION TO MARCH 15, 2016; CHANGING THE RUN-OFF ELECTION DATE FOR THE 2016 TOWN GENERAL ELECTION; DESIGNATING THE DATES FOR QUALIFYING FOR THE 2016 TOWN GENERAL ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE TO THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A public hearing will be heard on the request by the Town Commission at the following time and place:

WHERE: Historic Town Hall
220 N. Tubb Street
WHEN: 7:00 P.M.
All hearings are open to the public. Any interested party is invited to offer comments about this request at the public hearing or in writing to the Town of Oakland, PO Box 98, Oakland FL 34760, or by e-mail to [email protected]. A copy of the request can be inspected at the Town Hall. Any party appealing a land use decision made at a public hearing must ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the evidence and testimony that is the basis of the appeal.
The time and/or location of public hearings are subject to change. Changes are announced at the initial scheduled hearing. Notice of any changes will not be published or mailed.
