The City of Bradenton Beach will receive sealed proposals under RFP 15-01, Lease of Pier Structure, from legal entities authorized to do business in Florida at the City of Bradenton Beach Clerk's Office, 107 Gulf Dr. N., Bradenton Beach, FL 34217. It is the intent of the City to select a qualified person(s) or entity (ies )to lease and manage one or more of three pier structures with a/c, including a 1900 +/- sq. ft. indoor/outdoor restaurant, a 214 sq. ft. pass-through window structure with a live well bait system and a 160 sq. ft. pass-through window structure all located directly over water on the Municipal Fishing Pier located at the east end of Bridge St. It is strongly recommended that interested parties attend the Pre-proposal conference to be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the City Pier. The property can be viewed and inspected at this time and staff will be available to answer questions.
Proposers shall submit one (1) marked original and (7) seven photocopies in a sealed envelope. The name and address of the Proposer, the date and hour of the proposal submittal, the Proposal Number and Project Name shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Electronic/facsimile proposals will not be considered. Proposals may be mailed or hand delivered to the City Clerk's Office, NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. ON Thursday July 9, 2015. PROPOSALS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE OPENED. Information regarding this RFP may be obtained from the City Clerk at (941)778-1005, or can be viewed and downloaded from the City website at www.cityofbradentonbeach.com. All addendums are posted and disseminated by the City Clerk's Office.
The proposals shall be publicly opened by the City Clerk at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015, and shall then become a matter of public record. A Pier Team committee will review and rank the RFP's based on combined qualifications and the most favorable proposed lease terms. The committee will present its findings to the City Commission at a regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 12 p.m., or as soon as can be heard thereafter at City Hall. The decision to accept or reject any or all of the Proposals may be continued to a later date at the discretion of the City Commission. The winning proposer is required to enter into a lease with the City of Bradenton Beach.
