INVITATION TO BID CITY OF DUNEDIN PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA 34698 BID # 16-1061 MONROE / HUNTLEY STREET IMPROVEMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG AGREEMENT NO. B-15-UC-12-0005)
Sealed bids for the Monroe / Huntley Street Improvement will be received until the time and date noted below at the Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

This project consists of the following Base Bid work and/or Bid Alternate work. Any or all of the Bid Alternates may not be awarded at the time of award.

The Monroe / Huntley Street Improvement Project is located on three roadways in the City of Dunedin:
1. Monroe Street from Broadway to Douglas Avenue
2. Huntley Avenue from Monroe Street to the northern limits
3. Washington Street from Broadway to Huntley Avenue

On Huntley Avenue and Washington Street, the roadway asphalt surface and base will be reconstructed through the Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) process and new concrete valley curbs will be constructed. Monroe Street will have FDR between Broadway and the Pinellas Trail. The section between the Pinellas Trial and Douglas Avenue will be milled and resurfaced. Monroe Street from Broadway to Douglas Avenue will include a streetscape project with concrete brick paver sidewalks, textured pavement crosswalks, pervious concrete parallel parking and landscaping. The concrete curbs and FDR for Huntley Avenue and Washington Street must be completed first to process the CDBG payment in June 2016.

Discrimination: An entity or affiliate who has been placed on the discriminatory vendor list may not submit a bid on a contract to provide goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to a public entity, may not award or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity.

The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Contract Documents which will be available at the office of the City Purchasing Agent, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, FL.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Engineering Conference Room at 737 Louden Avenue, 2nd floor, Dunedin, FL at 2:00 PM.

All bids shall be submitted on standard bid forms (in duplicate), which are furnished with the bidding package and shall be in a sealed envelope marked:

The City of Dunedin reserves the right to accept those bids which are in the best interests of the City, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids.
