City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant Influent Pump Station Redundant Discharge Pipe Financial Project #: 521502 Bid #: 16-1066 CITY OF DUNEDIN FLORIDA
The work generally consists of the following:
Installation of a redundant 24” Ductile pipe from the Wastewater headworks to the Anaerobic/Anoxic tank process. Project consists of removing existing 24” tee's and installing new 24” crosses and tying into existing 24” shut off valves. The new 24” line will be installed overhead and there will be several pipe support stands installed and some concrete footers installed. The project is located at The City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant (1140 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Dunedin, Florida 34698).
The budgeted amount for the project is $370,000.
The time allotted for this project is 90 days, for substantial completion and 120 days for final completion.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on, May 24, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., City of Dunedin Engineering Services, 737 Louden Ave, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL 34698.
All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Russell Ferlita, Ph.D., P.E., Project Engineer, at [email protected], prior to 2:00 p.m., local time, Friday, June 3. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely
manner.
Sealed proposals will be accepted by the City of Dunedin, Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698, until
2:00 P.M., Local Time
Tuesday, June 14, 2016
at which time, bids will be opened and read aloud in the Engineering Office, located at the Office of the City Engineer, 737 Louden Ave, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL 34698 .
All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Copies of plans and specifications can be obtained by going to Demandstar at www.demandstar.com. Hard copies of the bid documents are available at a cost to the Contractor. Contact Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected], if interested.
It is the bidder's responsibility to check the final documents and addendum prior to bid submittal.
Two copies of the bid proposal shall be submitted on the standard forms that are included in the specifications and must be marked,
“SEALED BID FOR CONTRACT

DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”
In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, as guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.
No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City.
The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance, a Performance and Payment Bond, and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract.
Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin is not responsible for the US Mail or private couriers regarding mail being delivered by the specified time so that a bid can be considered. Proposals by telephone, email, text, telegraph, or FAX will not be accepted. One contract shall be awarded for all work outlined above and described in the plans and specifications.
The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
