The work generally consists of the following:

This project requires the application of crack seal, microsurface, cape seal and full depth reclamation treatments to various locations of asphalt roadways.

The budgeted amount for the project is $306,000.

The time allotted for this project is 90 days, for substantial completion.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., City of Dunedin Engineering Services, 737 Louden Ave, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL 34698.

All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected], prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner.

Sealed proposals will be accepted by the City of Dunedin, Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698, until

2:00 P.M., Local Time
Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017

at which time, bids will be opened and read aloud in the Engineering Office, located at the Office of the City Engineer, 737 Louden Ave, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL 34698 .

All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.

Copies of plans and specifications can be obtained by going to Demandstar at www.demandstar.com. Hard copies of the bid documents are available at a cost to the Contractor. Contact Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected], if interested.

Two (2) copies of the bid proposal shall be submitted on the standard forms that are included in the specifications and must be marked,

“SEALED BID FOR CONTRACT
Application of Crack Seal and Microsurface on
Various Street Locations in Dunedin, Florida
Bid # 17-1093
DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid.

Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. One contract shall be awarded for all work outlined above and described in the plans and specifications. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
