NOTICE
The City Commission of the City of Sarasota is seeking individuals willing to serve on the following Advisory Boards:
Board of Rules and Appeals
Ten seats with the following requirements:
• Licensed mechanical contractor
• Licensed fire alarm contractor
• Two seats for individuals with education, experience and knowledge to be deemed competent to sit in judgement of matters concerning the Florida Building Code and the Florida Fire Prevention Code
• Licensed general contractor
• Licensed fire sprinkler contractor
• Licensed architect
• Three seats for consumer representatives who are not, and never have been a member or practitioner of a profession regulated by the board or a member of any closely related profession
Citizens Oversight Committee of the Interlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning
One seat for city resident
Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Board
Two seats - preference for city residents
Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board (CRAAB)
Five seats with the following requirements:
- Individual involved in planning or design in the redevelopment area
- Resident of the redevelopment area
- Resident of the City of Sarasota
- Citizen at large
- Individual involved in finance and banking
Independent Police Advisory Panel
Four seats for members, required to be city residents
Police Complaint Committee
Four seats for members, required to be city residents
Preference is given to persons who reside or own property in the City of Sarasota.
