CITY OF DUNEDIN FLORIDA

The work generally consists of the following:

The removal, disposal, and replacement of two (2) filter backwash pumps and check valves, modification of backwash piping, installation of eight (8) temporary line stops, removal, disposal, and replacement of twenty (20) filter valves and air actuators, cleaning, repair, and coating of piping, structures and surfaces as indicated in the drawings and specifications for the current denitrification filter building. This includes mechanical, concrete and masonry work, painting, piping, electrical, etc. The project is located at The City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant (1140 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Dunedin, Florida 34698).

The budgeted amount for the project is $780,000.

The time allotted for this project is 270 days, for substantial completion and 30 additional days for final completion.

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held on, February 1, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1140 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Dunedin, Florida 34698. All interested parties are required to attend this meeting.

All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Russell Ferlita, Ph.D., P.E., Section Engineer, at [email protected], prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner.

Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Dunedin, Purchasing Office, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698, until

2:00 P.M., Local Time
Tuesday, February 20, 2018

at which time, bids will be opened and read aloud in the Engineering Office, located at the Office of the City Engineer, 737 Louden Ave, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL 34698 .

All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.

Copies of plans and specifications can be obtained by going to Demandstar at www.demandstar.com. Hard copies of the bid documents are available at a cost to the Contractor. Contact Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected], if interested.

Two copies of the bid shall be submitted on the standard forms that are included in the specifications and must be marked,

DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

In addition, the bids must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City.

Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
