City of Dunedin Architectural Services for the Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training Facilities Improvements Project RFQ 18-1103
The City of Dunedin (the “City” or “Owner”) is soliciting qualifications submittals from firms (the “Consultant” or “Architect”) qualified to provide professional architectural services required to design improvements to be constructed at the Toronto Blue Jays spring training and player development facilities located in Dunedin, Florida. This will be a state-of-the-art redevelopment project (the “Project”) that will include renovations and new construction to the following sites and facilities (collectively, the “Dunedin Facilities”):

• The Spring Training ballpark and related facilities known as Dunedin Stadium and located at 373 Douglas Avenue Dunedin, FL 34698,

• The buildings, fields and related facilities used for player development and related activities and located at what is known as the Englebert Baseball Complex at 1700 Solon Ave. Dunedin, FL 34698, and

• The 31.1 acre site that is currently used for non-Toronto Blue Jays-related purposes and is known as the Vanech Recreation Complex site at 3051 Garrison Rd, Dunedin, FL 34698.

The selected Architect will be required to negotiate a scope of services and fee proposal for design and construction phase services with the City. The Architect will assist the City in selecting a Construction Manager at Risk (the “CMAR”) to undertake and complete the construction of the improvements to the Dunedin Facilities. The Architect will coordinate and collaborate with the CMAR during the design phase of the project. The Architect will provide services during the construction phase of the project to ensure that construction is completed in accordance with the design.

The City will conduct a Pre-Submittal meeting at 9:00 am on Thursday, March 15, 2018. The meeting will take place at the Stadium Clubhouse Board Room located on the 2nd Floor at 373 Douglas Ave. Dunedin, FL 34698. Attendance is mandatory for all respondents to this RFQ.
