NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT UPDATE TO CITYWIDE FEMA FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE
A Public Hearing before the Ocoee Planning and Zoning Commission will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Commission Chambers of City Hall at 150 North Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee, Florida, to consider the following:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF OCOEE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; REPEALING PART 1A OF ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 180, CITY OF OCOEE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION; ADOPTING A NEW PART 1A OF ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 180, CITY OF OCOEE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, ENTITLED FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT; ADOPTING FLOOD HAZARD MAPS, DESIGNATING A FLOODPLAIN ADMINISTRATOR, ADOPTING PROCEDURES AND CRITERIA FOR DEVELOPMENT IN FLOOD HAZARD AREAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the above Planning and Zoning Commission with respect to any matter considered at such hearing, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard with respect to the above. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing a special accommodation or an interpreter to participate in this proceeding should contact the City Clerk's office at 407-905-3105 at least 48 hours prior to the date of hearing.
