NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
On Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 6:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, the City Commission of the City of Winter Garden will hold a Public Hearing in City Hall Commission Chambers, 1st Floor, 300 W. Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida, to consider adopting the following proposed ordinance:
ORDINANCE 19-43
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER GARDEN, FLORIDA MODIFYING THE CITY'S GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION DATES TO COINCIDE WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY DATE IN 2020; PROVIDING FOR A 7-DAY QUALIFYING PERIOD AND SCHEDULE FOR RUN-OFF ELECTION TO BE APPLIED IN CONJUNCTION WITH SAID ELECTION; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, NON-CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE
The City Commission of the City of Winter Garden will hold a second reading and public hearing in the City Hall Chambers located at 300 W. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL, on September 12, 2019 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon after as possible to also consider the adoption of the ordinance.
Interested parties may appear and be heard regarding the same. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available in the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for legal holidays. Persons wishing to appeal any decision made by the City Commission at such hearing, will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose you may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. The City does not provide this verbatim record.
