City of Dunedin Lift Station 3 Sanitary Sewer Force Main Replacement Project Bid #: 19-1130
Sealed bids for the “Lift Station #3 Sanitary Sewer Force Main Replacement Project” will be received until the time and date noted below at the Purchasing Office, in the City of Dunedin Municipal Services Building, 750 Milwaukee Avenue, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

The work generally consists of the following:

The removal, disposal, replacement and clearance of gravity sewer lines from terminal manhole to lift station #3 and restoration of work area, the installation and clearance of a new 12” sanitary sewer force main to replace an existing 10” force main, and the removal and/or abandonment of gravity main and manhole(s) as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications. This includes mechanical, trench work, concrete and masonry work, asphalt and road work, painting, piping, etc. The project is located at lift station #3 and through Weaver Park (1149 Broadway, Dunedin, FL 34698).

The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $290,000.

The time allotted for this project is 150 days, for substantial completion and 30 additional days for final completion.

A Voluntary Pre-Bid meeting will be held on, June 6, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., City of Dunedin Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1140 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Dunedin, Florida 34698. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.

All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Russell Ferlita, Ph.D., P.E., Section Engineer, at [email protected], prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner.

All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.

at which time, bids will be opened and read aloud in the Engineering Office, located at the Office of the City Engineer, 737 Louden Ave, 2nd Floor, Dunedin, FL 34698 .

Two copies of the bid proposal shall be submitted on the standard forms that are included in the specifications and must be marked,

DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”

Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest.
