INVITATION TO BID City of Dunedin Marina Maintenance Dredging Project Financial Project #: 491701 Bid #: 20-1149

The work generally consists of the following:
Maintenance dredging of the City of Dunedin Marina to previously authorized depths of -7.23 feet (referenced to NGVD29 datum). Data collection efforts indicate that the amount of dredging required to reach authorized maintenance depths is approximately 13,000 cubic yards, to be verified in the field. The project comprises hydraulic dredging of the Marina entrance channel and Marina basin to authorized depths, dewatering of sediments using geotextile tubes, transportation, and final disposal of dredged sediments to an approved landfill. All Work shall conform to the original FDEP permit (Permit No. 52-0159258-003), FDEP Maintenance Exemption (file no. 52-0159258-014-EE dated May 14, 2019), USACE Letter of Permission (USACE LOP No. SAJ-2012-01331 LP-CSH dated June 5, 2019), Contract Drawings and Technical Specifications.
The budgeted amount for the project is $1,500,000.
The time allotted for this project is November 2, 2020 for completion.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on, January 21, 2020, at 1:30 p.m., City of Dunedin Municipal Marina Building, 51 Main Street, Dunedin, FL 34698.
All contractor Requests For Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected], prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner.
Sealed proposals will be accepted by the City of Dunedin, Purchasing Office, Dunedin Community Center Elliot Room, 1920 Pinehurst Rd., Dunedin, Florida 34698, until
2:00 P.M., Local Time
Tuesday, February 18, 2020
at which time, bids will be opened and read aloud in the City of Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Rd., Dunedin, FL 34698.
All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Copies of plans and specifications can be obtained by going to Demandstar at www.demandstar.com. Hard copies of the bid documents are available at a cost to the Contractor. Contact Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected] if interested.
It is the bidder's responsibility to check the final documents and addendum prior to bid submittal.
Two copies of the bid proposal shall be submitted on the standard forms that are included in the specifications and must be marked,

DO NOT OPEN IN MAILROOM.”
In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, as guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.
No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
