YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Plaintiff, TAMPA ELECTRIC COMPANY, has filed an action against you in the Circuit Court for Hillsborough County, Florida to quiet title to real property located in Hillsborough County, Florida. The property is located and situated in Hillsborough County, Florida, and described as follows:
A parcel of land being a portion of Lot 2, according to the plat of RUSKIN TOMATO FARMS as recorded in Plat Book 27 at Page 110 of the Public Records of Hillsborough County, Florida and lying within the Northeast ¼ of Section 15, Township 31 South, Range 19 East, Hillsborough County, Florida and being more particularly described as follows:
Commence at the Northeast corner of aforesaid Section 15, THENCE, along the North line of the Northeast ¼ of aforesaid Section 15, N89°26'13”W, a distance of 1323.09 feet, THENCE, perpendicular to the aforesaid North line of the Northeast ¼ of Section 15, S00°33'47”W, a distance of 37.94 feet to the Northeast corner of aforesaid Lot 2, THENCE, along the East line of aforesaid Lot 2, S00°48'57”W, a distance of 62.05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and the intersection with the South Right of Way line of Big Bend Road (County Road 672), a line 100.00 feet South of and parallel with the North line of the aforesaid Northeast ¼ of Section 15 as described in the Deed recorded in Official Records Book 1865 at Page 148 of the Public Records of Hillsborough County, Florida, THENCE, along the East line of the aforesaid Lot 2, S00°48'57”W, a distance of 37.95 feet to the intersection with a line that is 100.00 feet South of and parallel with the North line of aforesaid Lot 2, Thence, along the South line of the North 100.00 feet of aforesaid Lot 2, N89°19'16”W, a distance of 1324.55 feet to the intersection with the West line of aforesaid Lot 2, THENCE, along the West line of aforesaid Lot 2, N00°51'47”E, a distance of 35.27 feet to the intersection with the aforesaid South Right of Way line of Big Bend Road, THENCE, along the aforesaid South Right of Way line of Big Bend Road, S89°26'13”E, a distance of 1324.53 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1.11 Acres, more or less.
This action is titled Tampa Electric Company v. Richard V. Surgnier, Jr., a/k/a Richard V. Surgnier II, et al., Case Number 21-CA-1327. You are required to serve a copy of your written defenses, if any, to it on Timothy C. Garding, Esq., of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP., the Plaintiff's attorney, whose address is 101 East Kennedy Boulevard, Suite 2800, Tampa, Florida 33602, on or before thirty (30) days after the date of first publication of this Notice of Action, and file the original with the clerk of this court either before service on the Plaintiff's attorney or immediately thereafter; otherwise a default will be entered against you for the relief demanded in the Complaint or Petition.
