Cedarwood & Lyndhurst CMP Replacement and Ditch Stabilization

The work generally consists of the following:
Removal of four 48” Corrugated Metal Pipes (CMPs) and replacement with 50 Linear Feet of 4'x6' concrete box culvert, replacing existing sand cement headwalls/wingwalls with reinforced concrete headwalls/wingwalls, replacement of a 12” CMP with 32 LF 15” Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) and a Mitered End Section (MES), replacement of a 24” CMP with 35 LF of 24” RCP and a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Type C inlet and a MES, removal of a 54” headwall and replacement with a FDOT 54” U-Type end wall, construction of approximately 5,600 square feet of slope reinforcement with rubble riprap, and removing 1.18 acres of vegetation which includes the removal of trees and pruning of branches as identified on the plans. Additionally, the project includes restoration of pavement and minor grading activities along the ditch bottom which are both earthen (downstream of Lyndhurst crossing) and concrete (upstream of Lyndhurst crossing).
The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $589,774.
The time allotted for this project is 90 days for substantial completion.
All contractor Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted ten (10) days before the bid opening, to Chuck Ankney, CPPO, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected], prior to 2:00 p.m., local time. The City will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date. The City will process the requests and respond within a timely manner.
Sealed proposals will be accepted by the City of Dunedin's Purchasing Office located at the Dunedin Community Center, Elliot Room, 1920 Pinehurst Road, Dunedin, Florida 34698, until
2:00 P.M., Local Time
Tuesday, February 1, 2022
at which time, bids will be opened and read aloud in the conference room at that location.
All work performed shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents.

It is the bidder's responsibility to check the final documents and addendum prior to bid submittal.
Two copies of the bid proposal shall be submitted on the standard forms that are included in the specifications and must be marked,

DO NOT OPEN IN MAIL ROOM.”
In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid.
No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified.
