The School Board of Pinellas County, Florida will receive sealed bids in the Purchasing Department, at the School Administration Building, 301 Fourth Street SW, Largo, Florida, 33770-3536 until 3 p.m. E.T., on March 22, 2021 for the purpose of selecting a supplier/contractor for Food Service Product Procurement and Distribution Services.

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Food Service Product Procurement and Distribution Services to the Pinellas County School Board (the District), Florida. The district requests proposals from experienced and qualified Food Service Distribution Vendors to provide and deliver all types of food products. The Distribution Vendor (the Distributor) will be responsible for but not limited to;
a) Offering a fixed per case fee for delivered product
b) Competitively bid products that are requested by the district following the district's specifications
c) Administration, storage and distribution of processed and non- processed USDA Commodity Foods
d) Delivery weekly to approximately 120 district facilities throughout Pinellas County
e) Delivering supplies and “emergency” products as required
f) Delivering products from other District solicitations i.e. Local Bulk Farm Products, promotional “Pass Thru” items and Opportunity Buys
Distributors must commit to maintaining and enforcing the highest level of service quality and standards by supplying the brands and product codes as approved by the District for the entire term of this contract and any subsequent renewal periods.

If you are not the prime bidder but are attending on behalf of someone else, please make note of this when signing into the video conference roster where indicated. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but it is imperative that all information be disseminated in a public forum with all potential bidders present to minimize confusion or misunderstandings. Additions or changes to the original bid documents resulting from this conference of a material nature, will be documented in the form of written addenda and distributed to all attendees. Please note that if you are late to this mandatory pre-bid conference you will not be admitted into the Zoom meeting.
