BABCOCK RANCH COMMUNITY INDEPENDENT SPECIAL DISTRICT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AN AMENDED AND RESTATED WATER, WASTEWATER AND REUSE FACILITY ACQUISITION AND PRIVATIZATION CONTRACT; AND NOTICE OF CONTINUED GOVERNING BOARD MEETING.
The Governing Board of the Babcock Ranch Community Independent Special District will hold a public hearing on October 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the offices of The Hive, 42891 Lake Babcock Drive, Room 211, Babcock Ranch, Florida 33982 for the purpose of receiving public comments on the District's entering into an amended and restated lease/option agreement updating the lease purchase agreement dated December 15, 2016, governing the lease and purchase of the potable water, sewer and irrigation quality water utility assets of Town & Country Utility, LLC, and the irrigation utility assets of Babcock Ranch Irrigation, LLC., and the privatization of the operations, management and customer service of those utility assets A continued board meeting of the District will also be held at that time where the Board may consider any other business that may properly come before it. A copy of the agenda, lease/option agreement and public interest report may be obtained at the offices of the District Manager, Craig Wrathell, at 2300 Glades Road, Suite 410w, Boca Raton, Florida 33431, during normal business hours.
The public hearing and meeting are open to the public and will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Florida law. The public hearing and meeting may be continued to a date, time, and place to be specified on the record at the meeting. There may be occasions when Governing Board Members or District Staff may participate by speaker telephone.
