APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE TO PROVIDE WASTEWATER SERVICE IN
CHARLOTTE COUNTY BY ENVIRONMENTAL UTILITIES, LLC

NOTICE is hereby given that the Florida Public Service Commission will hold customer service hearings in the above docket on the application for a wastewater certificate in Charlotte County by Environmental Utilities, LLC (“Utility”). The customer service hearings will commence at the times and location shown below and will continue until all witnesses have been heard. Members of the public who wish to present testimony are urged to appear promptly at the scheduled customer service hearing times because the hearing may be adjourned early if no witnesses are present to testify. The date, time, and location of the hearings are:

PURPOSE AND PROCEDURE

The purpose of the customer service hearings is to give prospective customers of the Utility and other interested persons an opportunity to offer comments to the Commission regarding the application of the Utility for a wastewater certificate in Charlotte County. Customers and other interested persons may be asked follow-up questions.

Customers may register to speak for either customer service hearing in one of three ways. First, a customer may register using the PSC's online registration form, which will be available at www.floridapsc.com, under the “Hot Topics” heading. Second, customers may register to speak by calling the PSC at 1-850-413-7080 or by emailing [email protected]. Electronic and telephonic registration will be available beginning January 20th at 9 a.m. EST, and the deadline to register, electronically or telephonically, is noon EST two business days prior to each service hearing. Last, if you do not register to speak prior to the service hearing, you may register when you arrive at the venue. Please note that the order in which customers will speak is based on the order in which they register.

If you do not have access to the internet, you may call 1-850-413-7999 to listen to the hearings. If you are hearing or speech impaired, you may contact the PSC by using the Florida Relay Service at 1-800-955-8771 (TDD).

JURISDICTION

Jurisdiction over this Utility is vested in the Commission by Chapter 367, Florida Statutes. Authority to approve a new wastewater certificate is governed by Section 367.045, Florida Statutes. The provisions of Chapters 25-9, 25-22, 25-30, and 28-106, Florida Administrative Code, are also applicable.

If settlement of the case or a named storm or other disaster requires cancellation of the hearing, Commission staff will attempt to give timely direct notice to the parties.
