CITY OF DUNEDIN INVITATION TO BID #22-1209
Sealed bids for the “Douglas Avenue Crosswalks Improvements” project will be received until the time and date noted below at the Purchasing Office, in the Dunedin Community Center - Elliot Room, 1920 Pinehurst Road, Dunedin, Florida 34698. Bids will be opened, logged in and read aloud at that time. Any individual requiring assistance must give the Purchasing Section written notice 48 hours in advance so accommodations can be made.

The purpose of the project is to contract with a properly licensed contractor qualified to furnish and install all equipment, labor and materials necessary to complete the work. The work will be performed on Douglas Avenue immediately south of SR 580 (Skinner Blvd.), Dunedin, FL.

The work includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, limited excavation/embankment, removal of existing concrete curbing and asphalt pavement, new concrete curb, patterned pavement crosswalks with in-road solar powered light assemblies, concrete sidewalk and driveways, architectural pavers in both road and sidewalk areas, performance turf, signage, pavement markings and maintenance of traffic and the installation of paver bricks including offsite storage, reuse and delivery of excess pavers to a location within the City limits.

NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE
The City will hold a Pre-Bid Meeting on June 16, 2022 at 9:00 AM. Please meet in the parking lot on the north side of the building located at 830 Douglas Avenue, Dunedin (formerly Ocean Optics) on the corner of Monroe Street. This is not a mandatory pre-bid but your attendance is encouraged. A sign-in sheet will be provided. The Engineer of Record will be in attendance. Answers to questions will be provided by Addenda.

Envelopes containing bids shall be securely sealed and clearly marked:

All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond drawn in favor of the City of Dunedin in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

Bid specifications are available at the office the Purchasing Agent (Phone: 727-298-3077) at the address noted above. You may also email your request to: [email protected] or download the specifications from www.demandstar.com. There is no cost for the specifications. Bids shall be prepared in the same format as listed in the specifications and remain firm for a period of 90 calendar days. The City reserves the right to accept those bids which are in the best interest of the City; to waive informalities; or to reject any or all bids. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with these instructions and specifications may be disqualified.
