ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The School Board of Pinellas County, Florida will receive sealed bids in the Purchasing Department, at the School Administration Building, 301 Fourth Street SW, Largo, Florida, 33770-3536 until 3 p.m. E.T., on July 25, 2023 for the purpose of selecting a supplier/contractor for Food Transportation and Distribution Services.

This is an Invitation to Bid for Food Service Product Distribution Services to the Pinellas County School Board (the District), Florida. The district requests proposals from experienced and qualified Food Transportation and Distribution Vendors to deliver all types of food products. The Transportation and Distribution Vendor will be responsible for but not limited to;
a) Offering a fixed fee per pallet for delivered product. Standard pallet
dimensions are 40”x 48” and no more than 6 foot in height from ground level
b) Pick up of product/pallets from District warehouse located at 11111 S. Belcher
Rd., Largo, FL 33773
c) Deliver weekly to approximately 122 district school facilities throughout
Pinellas County
d) Delivering supplies and “emergency” products as required
e) Maintaining product at appropriate temperature to assure the highest level of
food safety and quality
f) Vendor to provide freezer trucks to perform all deliveries that will maintain a
temperature of 0 - 20 degrees
g) Acquire signature of receipt for each delivery site
h) Deliver to schools Monday thru Friday, 20 to 25 sites per day
i) Adjust schedule to accommodate non-school days so all sites receive product
Vendor must commit to maintaining and enforcing the highest level of service quality and standards by delivering food product in packed condition at appropriate temperature to each school site for the entire term of this contract and any subsequent renewal periods.
