NOTICE OF EXCHANGE OF COUNTY PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO SECTION 125.37,
FLORIDA STATUTES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 125.37, Florida Statutes, that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, will consider, on the 24th day of October, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter in the Commission Chambers on the First Floor of the Manatee County Government Administrative Center, located at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida 34205, a resolution authorizing a proposed exchange of real property held and possessed by Manatee County in exchange for the conveyance of a permanent easement for access and drainage over and across an adjacent development site.
The real property held and possessed by Manatee County that would be exchanged is located at 4750 75th Street West, comprised of approximately 2.587 acres, for the purpose of stormwater retention and is located within the overall general development plan for a mixed use development known as Lake Flores [PDMU-14-20(Z)(G)]. In exchange for the County-owned parcel, the Lake Flores developer agrees to grant to the County a permanent easement for access and drainage over and across the development site relieving the County of its maintenance responsibility and cost of the property while maintaining its function.
Copies of the proposed Resolution R-23-147 may be inspected by the public during normal business hours at the office of the Public Works Department, Infrastructure Planning Division, 1022 26th Avenue East, Bradenton, Florida, 34208.
According to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter to be considered at the meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record would include any testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
