You are hereby notified that CARMINE MARCENO, as Sheriff of Lee County has filed a forfeiture proceeding in the Circuit Court of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in and for Lee County, Florida requesting that the $12,315.00 US CURRENCY AND $788.00 US CURRENCY seized on or about January 4, 2024 be forfeited to the Petitioner, SHERIFF CARMINE MARCENO, for the use and benefit of the LEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE.
You are further advised that the LEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE is presently holding the above described $12,315.00 US CURRENCY AND $788.00 US CURRENCY.
You are required to file a copy of your written defenses, if any, to said forfeiture action on Katherine H. Welch, Petitioner's attorney, whose address is Lee County Sheriff's Office, Legal Division, 14750 Six Mile Cypress Parkway, Fort Myers, Florida 33912, by mail within 30 days of first publication, and file the original with Clerk of the Court either before service on Petitioner's attorney or immediately thereafter; otherwise a default will be entered against you for the relief demanded in the Complaint or Petition.
