You are hereby notified that a Joint Petition for Termination of Parental Rights and Stepparent Adoption has been filed in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit In and For Pasco County, Florida for the child currently known as J.S.E., born August 2, 2006 in Hillsborough County, Florida. This Petition requests the Court to waive your consent to adoption under a claim of abandonment. You are hereby notified that you must file a written response to the Joint Petition for Termination of Parental Rights and Stepparent Adoption, with the Pasco County Clerk of the Circuit Court located at 38053 Live Oak Avenue, Dade City, Florida 33523. Your written response, including the case number given above and the names of the parties, must be filed if you want the Court to hear your side of the case on or before 6-24-2024.
If you do not file your written response on time, you may lose the case, and any parental rights you may have regarding the minor child may be terminated thereafter without further warning from the Court. There are other legal requirements. You may want to call an attorney right away. If you do not know an attorney, you may call an attorney referral service or a legal aid office (listed in the phone book), or you may be entitled to have the Court appoint legal counsel to represent you in this action. If you choose to file a written response yourself, at the same time you file your written response to the Court, you must also mail or take a copy of your written response to:
