PUBLIC NOTICE OF NEIGHBORHOOD WORKSHOP
Troy's II, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (hereafter “Petitioner”) as owner of real property located at 4151 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233 will be hosting a live electronic/virtual Neighborhood Workshop via Zoom to review the proposed project referred to as the Special Exception Petition of 4151 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233. The Parcel Identification No. is 0071150001. The Special Exception requests approval to convert the existing Plant Nursery with Landscape Supply (“ Plant Nursery”) use in a Residential Single Family (RSF-2) district as a non-conforming use to a conforming use, pursuant to Section 124-287, Sarasota County Code of Ordinances (the “Code”), to allow the historical Plant Nursey business to continue operation. The workshop presentation will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, with an opportunity to ask questions via Zoom following the presentation.

The purpose of the live electronic/virtual workshop is for the applicant to inform the neighboring residents of the nature of the proposed change of the business at 4151 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233 as a conforming use, to solicit suggestions/questions, and to explain the development concept plan.
Request: The Petitioner is requesting a Special Exception of 4151 Proctor Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233 for the continued use of the existing Plant Nursery business. The Special Exception requests approval to convert the existing Plant Nursery with Landscape Supply use in a Residential Single Family (RSF-2) district from a non-conforming use to a conforming use.
