AFFIDAVIT OF DILIGENT SEARCH AND INQUIRY
IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE SIXTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN AND FOR PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, personally appeared Amy R. San Marco, affiant, who, being first duly sworn, deposes and says that Amy R. San Marco made a diligent search and inquiry to determine the whereabouts of CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, whose date of birth is September 21, 1987, and who is believed to reside in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The results are as follows:
1) That a diligent search and inquiry have been made to locate CORY WAYMAN ADAMS and;
2) That the residence of such person is unknown to the affiant and;
3) The person conceals himself or herself so that process cannot be personally served, and;
4) The affiant believes that there is no person in the state upon whom service of process would bind said absent or concealed defendant.
5) Affiant, a Private Investigator with San Marco and Associates Private Investigations, Inc., received a request to locate CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, whose date of birth is September 21, 1987, and who is believed to reside in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
6) Affiant, conducted research through IRB Search, Inc., (a Lexus Nexus Company) a nationwide provider of one of the country's largest depositories of public records, including the following:
ABI Business Directory, Active U.S. Military Personnel, Aircraft, Bankruptcies, Liens and Judgments, Corporate Records, DEA Controlled Substance Licenses, Deed Transfers, Federal Firearms and Explosives Licenses, Florida Accidents, Florida Banking and Finance Licenses, Florida Beverage Licenses, Florida Boating Citations, Florida Concealed Weapons Permits, Florida Day Care Licenses, Florida Department of Education, Florida Felony/Probation/Parole, Florida Fictitious Names, Florida Handicap Parking Permits, Florida Hotels and Restaurants, Florida Insurance Agents, Florida Money Transmitter Licenses, Florida Salt Water Product Licenses, Florida Securities Dealers, Florida Sexual Predator, Florida Tangible Property, Florida Unclaimed Property, Florida Worker's Compensation Claims, UCC Filings, and state-specific databases.
This search identified the following recent addresses for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS:
1281 Brockett Road, Apt 24C,
Clarkston, GA 30021
4060 Janice Drive, Apt G7,
Atlanta, GA 30344
7) On April 19, 2024, Georgia Process Server Beverly Laster, attempted service on CORY WAYMAN ADAMS at 1281 Brockett Road, Apt 24C, Clarkston, GA 30021. Process Server Laster was informed by the current occupant, Bernadine Slaughter, that CORY WAYMAN ADAMS does not live at this address and is not known.
8) Affiant conducted a search for a driver's license for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No current driver's license was reported on CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
9) Affiant conducted a search for vehicle registrations records associated with CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No vehicles were found to be currently registered to CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. The most recent vehicle was registered to CORY WAYMAN ADAMS in July 2020 and expired in September 2021. (2002 Toyota Avalon)
10) Affiant made an inquiry of the United States Postal Service to determine the current location of CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Affiant has not received a response from the United States Postal Service. Affiant has made similar inquiries of the United States Postal Service on several occasions since January of 2018 and has only ever received ONE RESPONSE from the United States Postal Service since January of 2018. Based on Affiant's experience, Affiant does not anticipate receiving a response to this inquiry or to previous inquiries for location information made of the United States Postal Service.
11) Affiant attempted to locate employment records for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, using a database proprietary to investigators. No employment records were produced as a result of this search. Affiant conducted a search of Google for employment related pages associated with CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No pages were produced as a result of this search.
12) Affiant conducted a search of birth and death records for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS through ancestry.com. No matching birth or death records were produced as a result of this search.
13) Affiant made inquiries of various databases, internet search sites and telephone listings, including IRB Search Inc. The IRB search produced multiple telephone numbers for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Affiant called the most recent telephone number listed: 346-383-4525 and left multiple messages for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS to contact Affiant. Affiant has not received a call from this number or from CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Affiant attempted one last call on July 24, 2024 and found the number to be disconnected.
14) Affiant attempted to locate relatives of CORY WAYMAN ADAMS by pulling a relative report from IRBSearch, Inc. Multiple relatives were produced for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Affiant identified two telephone numbers for the father of CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, Wayman Adams: 678-328-9376 and 804-252-7167. Affiant sent multiple texts to these numbers. Affiant has not received a response from Wayman Adams or from CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
15) Affiant made inquiries of local law enforcement agencies in Fulton County and Dekalb County for reports or cases associated with CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No current or recent address was produced as a result of these inquiries.
16) Affiant made an inquiry of the Georgia Highway Patrol, for reports involving CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No relevant records were produced as a result of this inquiry.
17) Affiant searched the Fulton County and Dekalb County Jail websites to determine whether CORY WAYMAN ADAMS is currently incarcerated or under supervision. The most recent arrest for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS was in Dekalb County in 2016 for DWLSR and related traffic crimes. No new or current address was produced.
18) Affiant searched the Georgia Department of Corrections website to determine whether CORY WAYMAN ADAMS is currently incarcerated or under supervision. No records were produced for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
19) Affiant made inquiries of the Fulton County Clerk of Court and the Dekalb County Clerk of Court for court records involving CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Multiple cases were produced. The most recent case was identified in Fulton County, a 2022 eviction from the 4060 Janice Drive, Apt G7 address in East Point (Atlanta), GA. A search of the docket does not find a new or current address for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
20) Affiant was unable to make inquiries of local hospitals in an attempt to locate CORY WAYMAN ADAMS as no information can be provided, due to HIPAA privacy rules.
21) Affiant was unable to locate utility (electric, water, sewer or cable) service in the name of CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, for the reason that such information is confidential.
22) Affiant made an inquiry of the Department of Veterans Affairs' National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, MO for military records belonging to CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Affiant has not received a response from the National Personnel Records center. Affiant was unable to make an inquiry of the Service Members Civil Relief Act website (SCRA) for military records on CORY WAYMAN ADAMS because this search requires a social security number for conclusive results and Affiant does not have a social security number for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
23) Affiant searched the Fulton and Dekalb County Property Appraiser's for property records associated with CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No records were produced for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
24) Affiant made inquiries of internet search engine, Google, using the following search terms: CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. No new address or contact information was produced for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS.
25) Affiant searched various social media websites, including Facebook and lnstagram, in an effort to locate CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Two Facebook pages were produced. Affiant sent a private message to CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, using Facebook's Messenger Application. Affiant has not received a response from CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. Affiant located multiple Facebook pages belonging to the relatives of CORY WAYMAN ADAMS, Wayman Adams (father) and Douglas Hewson (brother-in-law). Affiant sent private messages to Wayman Adams, using Facebook's Messenger Application. Affiant has not received a response from Wayman Adams. Affiant sent multiple messages to Douglas Hewson. Affiant received a response from Douglas Hewson, who refused to provide any contact information for CORY WAYMAN ADAMS. 26) Affiant received a copy of returned certified mail from Attorney Matthew D. Weidner's office, after Attorney Weidner's office mailed documents to CORY WAYMAN ADAMS at the following addresses: 1281 Brockett Road, Apt 24C, Clarkston, GA 30021 and 4060 Janice Drive, Apt G7, Atlanta, GA 30344. This Certified Mail was returned to Attorney Weidner as undeliverable to both addresses.
