NOTICE is given pursuant to § 932.701 to § 932.704, Florida Statues, the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act, that the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office (“SCSO”) seized the above-described property on 6/6/2024 and 6/11/2024, in Sarasota County, Florida, and is holding the subject property pending the outcome of forfeiture proceedings. Any person wishing to contest this claim must file a responsive pleading with the Clerk of the Court of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit within twenty-one (21) days of this notice. Any interested party is hereby directed and required to file a claim on or before the expiration of the twenty-first day of this notice being published. A copy of any responsive pleading filed with the court must also be sent to: Stacey Blume, Esq. Special Counsel, Office of the Attorney General, Florida Bar No. 173207, Attorney for the SCSO, 110 S.E. 6th Street, 10th Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. If any interested party/claimant fails to file a claim as herein directed judgment will be entered against you in due course. Persons not personally served with process may obtain a copy of the Complaint for forfeiture from the Sarasota County Clerk's office. If no claimant(s) appear the Department of Legal Affairs and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will be seeking a final order of forfeiture.
