NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE TOWN OF OAKLAND COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Town Commission of the Town of Oakland will hold a public hearing at a Regular Town Commission meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Oakland Meeting Hall located at 221 N. Arrington Street to consider the following resolution(s):
RESOLUTION 2025-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO SECTION 196.1978(3)(O), FLA. STAT., ELECTING TO NOT EXEMPT PROPERTY FROM AD VALOREM PROPERTY TAX UNDER SECTION 196.1978(3)(D)1.A., FLA. STAT., COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE “LIVE LOCAL ACT PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION”; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS, REQUIRED FINDINGS, DIRECTION TO THE MAYOR, DIRECTION TO THE TOWN MANAGER, APPLICABILITY, SEVERABILITY, AND A CONDITIONAL EFFECTIVE DATE.
All hearings are open to public attendance inside the Oakland Meeting Hall. The proposed resolution(s) are available in the office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall. Interested parties may examine them there or appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed resolution(s). Please be advised that if you desire to appeal any decisions made as a result of the above hearing or meeting, you will need a record of the proceedings and in some cases, a verbatim record is required. You must make your own arrangements to produce this record (FS 286.0105).
The time and/or location of public hearings are subject to change. Changes are announced at the initial scheduled hearing. Notice of any changes will not be published or mailed.
Any person needing special accommodation to attend a public hearing must contact the Town Clerk at 407-656-1117 x 2110 at least 48 hours before the meeting.
This meeting will be held as an in-person meeting and livestreamed to Zoom. Attendees may watch the livestream of the meeting via Zoom; however, attendees will be in listen-only mode and will not have the opportunity to provide public comments virtually. Any interested party is invited to offer comments about this request in-person at the public hearing or in advance by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, in writing to the Town of Oakland, PO Box 98, Oakland FL 34760, or by e-mail to [email protected].
