NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO
SECTION 336.09, FLORIDA STATUTES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 336.10, Florida Statutes, and Section 312 of the Manatee County Land Development Code that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida (Board) upon its own motion proposes to close and abandon a street, alleyway, road, highway, or other place used for travel. The proposed vacation seeks to vacate a portion of the right-of-way on the road known as Rogers Road, located north of the property located at 10150 Saffold Road, Parrish, Florida.

On the 25th of March, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter in the Honorable Patricia M. Glass Chambers, on the first floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, located at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida 34205, the Board will consider, act upon, adopt or reject said proposed vacation and the following corresponding resolution:

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, VACATING CERTAIN STREETS, ROADS, OR OTHER APPROPRIATE PROPERTY, SPECIFICALLY A PORTION OF A RIGHT-OF-WAY ON A ROAD KNOWN AS ROGERS ROAD, PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 336.09, 336.10 AND 336.12, FLORIDA STATUTES, AND THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA.

The subject property of this proposed vacation is located north of the property at 10150 Saffold Road in Parrish and is 34,009 square feet (0.78 acres) more or less in size. The future land use map designation and zoning district of the subject property is AG-R, P/SP-1 and A, respectively. The proposed vacation, staff report, related materials and proposed Resolution related to this proposed vacation may be inspected by the public during normal business hours at the County Administration Building, requested via email at [email protected], or on the County's website at www.mymanatee.org.

Persons may appear and be heard, written comments filed with the Director of the Property Management Department will be entered into the record and the hearing may be continued from time to time as necessary. For more information, call 941-748-4501 Extension 3603.
