NOTICE OF EXCHANGE OF COUNTY PROPERTY PURSUANT
TO SECTION 125.37, FLORIDA STATUTES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 125.37, Florida Statutes, that the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida, on the 25th day of March, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter in the Honorable Patricia M. Glass Chambers, on the first floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, located at 1112 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida 34205, the Board will consider, act upon, adopt or reject, a resolution authorizing a proposed exchange of real property held and possessed by Manatee County in exchange for other real property held and possessed by Jones Potato Farm, Inc., which Manatee County desires to acquire for county purposes.

The real property held and possessed by Manatee County that would be exchanged is a portion of Rogers Road that consists of 34,009 square feet (0.78 acres) more or less. The real property held and possessed by Jones Potato Farm, Inc., which Manatee County desires to acquire is property consisting of 28,011 square feet (0.64 acres) in fee simple to Manatee County to correct the current roads geometry and alleviate recurring drainage issues.

Copies of proposed Resolution R-25-023 may be inspected by the public during normal business hours in the office of the Property Management Department, Property Acquisition Division, 1112 Manatee Avenue West, 8th Floor, Bradenton, Florida.

According to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter to be considered at the meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record would include any testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
